Not sure? A typical novel runs 70,000–90,000 words.

What’s included

Manuscript in, audiobook out

  • A professional narrator — performing your book, not reading it aloud
  • Chapter-by-chapter editing — breaths, mouth noise, retakes and pacing
  • Mastering to retail specification — −23 to −18 dB RMS, −3 dB peak ceiling, noise floor under −60 dB
  • Proof checking included — every chapter checked against your manuscript, word for word. Not an add-on, not an upsell: it is in the price, because an audiobook that drifts from the book is not finished.
  • We handle the pickups — when a line needs re-recording, we go back to the narrator and get it done. You never have to chase talent, book studio time or manage a re-record. That is our job, and it is included.
  • Publish-ready files, chapter-named — accepted by ACX, Audible, INaudio, Spotify for Authors and more
  • Your own dashboard — progress, files and approvals in one place
How it works

Five steps, no surprises

Price it and book your start date

The calculator above is the quote. Book the slot that suits you.

Send your manuscript

Attach it to your order above — Word, PDF, RTF or plain text. It only uploads once payment clears, and you can add it later from your dashboard if it is still being revised.

We cast and narrate

Your book is matched to one of our narrators. If you have added custom casting, you approve the voice from your dashboard before recording begins.

Edit, master, proof

Every chapter is edited, mastered to retail specification and proof-checked against your manuscript. If a line needs re-recording we take it back to the narrator ourselves — the pickups are our job, not yours.

Delivery

Publish-ready files arrive in your dashboard on the date the calculator gave you.

While we work

You watch it happen

From the day your book starts, your dashboard carries a live production tracker — every chapter and its status, the percentage complete, your manuscript on file, and the date we are working to. Chapters appear as they are mastered, so you can listen to your book take shape rather than wait in silence for it. Anything needing your ear is flagged; anything needing a re-record is logged and tracked to done.

Frequently asked

The questions that matter

Who narrates my book?

A professional narrator from the studio’s roster, matched to your book. If you have a specific voice in mind — accent, age, gender, tone — add custom voice casting and we will audition candidates against your brief and upload them to your dashboard for approval before recording starts.

My book has a lot of characters — does that cost more?

No. One narrator performs every character in your book, giving each a distinct voice — that is what a professional narration is, and it is what listeners expect from a novel. It is included in the price on this page, however many characters you have written.

A full cast — a different actor recorded for each role, in the style of a radio drama — is a different production entirely, and priced per project. If that is what you are after, start a conversation below and tell us about the book.

How long will it take?

The calculator gives you a working-day estimate from your chosen start date, built from three legs: narration, editing at two days per two hours of finished audio, and a three-day proofing pass. Weekends are excluded. The date you are shown at booking is the date we work to.

What do I need to send?

Your finished manuscript as a Word document, PDF or plain text file. Upload it straight after checkout. If your book is still being revised, wait until it is final — re-recording changed text is the one thing that moves a delivery date.

Do you deliver ACX-compliant files?

Yes. Every chapter is mastered to retail specification — −23 to −18 dB RMS, a −3 dB peak ceiling and a noise floor below −60 dB — and delivered chapter-named and publish-ready for ACX, Audible and Apple.

Is this the same as your editing and mastering service?

No. If you have already recorded your narration, our audiobook editing and mastering service takes it from there. This page is for authors who want the whole production handled — including the voice.
